Mail, Docs & News
Alongside the main browser view, Trace's nav sidebar has panels for email, documents, and news.
Connect a Google or Microsoft account from Settings → Mail, either through Trace's default app connection or with your own OAuth client ID, secret, and scopes if you'd rather use your own app registration. Once connected, you can read and compose email directly from the Mail panel.
Turning on Build memory from email lets Trace extract facts and context from your email the same way it does from browsing (see Personal memory). Each connected account shows its backfill status, with a retry option if the initial import needs another pass.
Docs
The Docs panel is for managing documents alongside your browsing, without switching to a separate app.
News
Settings → News lets you trigger a manual refresh at any time, or set an auto-digest interval (from every hour up to once a day, or turned off entirely) if you'd rather have a periodic summary than check manually.
Next steps
- Personal memory for how connected email feeds into your fact profile.
- Data & privacy settings for controlling what Trace learns from your accounts.
