Letterhead
Letterhead is Trace's dedicated tool for building a resume or cover letter. It's not a generic document you format by hand, it's its own studio with real templates, live preview, and one-click styling.
Starting a document
Open the Artifacts gallery and choose the Resume or Cover letter card. Letterhead opens with a choice: start from scratch, or pick one of the built-in templates.
Resume templates
Ten templates, all sharing the same underlying content so you can switch between them without retyping anything:
- Modern (accent sidebar)
- Classic (centered serif, ATS-friendly)
- Minimal
- Executive
- Compact (dense, ATS-safe)
- Timeline (a connecting line through your history)
- Banner (a full-width color header)
- Split (a bordered sidebar layout)
- Corporate (a tinted sidebar)
- Technical (monospace headings)
Cover letter layouts
Cover letters get four layout families, formal, modern, minimal, and mono, each designed to visually pair with the resume templates above.
Accent colors
Six preset accent colors: oxblood, navy, forest, charcoal, teal, and plum. Changing the accent color or switching templates never touches your content, only how it's presented.
Exporting
Export to PDF from the same header button every artifact uses (see Artifacts); Letterhead itself has no separate print button.
