Smart Calendar

The Smart Calendar pulls events straight out of the pages you're reading. Open the Calendar panel from the nav sidebar, click Extract from page, and Trace reads the current page, identifies dates, times, locations, and event titles, then saves them directly to your calendar.

Views

• Month grid: a familiar seven-column month view with colored event chips, a "+N more" overflow indicator for busy days, and today highlighted.
• Week: an hour-by-hour grid across the week, for days with several events at different times.
• Schedule: a date-grouped list with a colored stripe per event and metadata like time, location, and the source page it came from.
• Tasks: a plain to-do list that lives alongside your calendar but isn't tied to any specific date or event.

Creating events manually

A quick-create form is available inline for adding a title, date, time, and location without leaving the calendar. Each event gets a deterministic color (drawn from a fixed palette) based on its ID, so the same event always looks the same across views.

Events persist locally and survive restarts.

Brief this event

Open any event and choose Brief this event to have the AI put together a short briefing for it, pulling in whatever context it can find rather than just repeating the event's title and time back to you.
