Background agents & tasks

The Agents panel (open it from the nav sidebar) has three sections. Skills are the one-click chat chips; this page covers the other two, Background and Tasks.

Background agents

Toggle recurring agents on or off, each running on its own schedule without you having to ask again every time:

• Daily briefing: a daily summary pulled together for you.
• News: periodic news updates (see also Mail, Docs & News for the digest interval setting).
• Auto-digest: automatic summarization of new content.
• Research: ongoing monitoring tied into the Research panel.

Each toggle is independent, turn on only the ones you actually want running.

Tasks

Type what you want in plain language into the Tasks box, and Trace classifies it for you rather than making you pick a category yourself:

• Something to watch and get alerted about becomes a Watchdog.
• Something to look into becomes a one-off entry in Research.

You don't have to know which one you want ahead of time, describe the goal and Trace routes it correctly.
